How to Move a Warm Prospect Into a Real Conversation (Without Being Weird About It)
Warm prospecting is not about rushing into someone’s inbox. It is about noticing real engagement, choosing the right next step, and starting a conversation that feels natural.
This LeadMagicX training recap picks up where Facebook group prospecting for warm prospects leaves off: you have built the relationship; now you need a thoughtful way to move it forward.
Keep it human and compliant: use personal outreach responsibly, follow Facebook’s current policies, and make every template relevant to the person you are contacting.
In our last LeadMagicX training, we built the foundation.
You went into Facebook groups, found people leaving real, thoughtful comments on relevant posts, checked their profiles, and added the right ones to your Prospecting funnel inside the LeadMagicX extension. Then you started spending fifteen minutes a day dropping genuine comments on their content to warm the relationship before reaching out.
And then we left you with some homework that probably felt a little uncomfortable.
Don't message anyone yet. Just warm them up.
In this week's LeadMagicX training, we close the loop. Because a list of people sitting in a funnel does exactly nothing for your business on its own. At some point you have to actually talk to them. And this week's training covered exactly how to do that without coming across pushy, spammy, or like you're working from a script.

The First Thing to Accept About Your Warming List
Here's something most people don't expect when they first build this system.
Even if you've spent the same amount of time and energy engaging with every single person in your warming stage, the results are going to look completely different from person to person.
Some people will have visited your profile. Some will have reacted to your comments. Some will have replied. And some will have done absolutely nothing.
That's not a failure on your part. That's just information.
And the most important thing to take from it is this. People who aren't responding are doing you a favour. They're saving you from wasting energy on someone who isn't ready, isn't interested, or just isn't the right fit. The sooner you can identify who those people are, the sooner you can redirect your energy toward the ones who actually want to hear from you.
The Two Decisions You Need to Make on Every Single Person
For everyone sitting in your warming stage right now, you need to make two calls.
The first is whether it's time to move them forward.
You're looking for signals. Not massive ones. Just something that shows they've noticed you. Maybe they reacted to a comment you left. Maybe they replied with a line or two. Maybe they came over to your profile and engaged with something you posted. Any one of those things is a green light.
When you see a signal, it means the relationship is warming. It means this person is open. And it means it's time to take things to the next level.
The second decision is whether it's time to move them out of warming, at least for now.
The benchmark here is five genuine touchpoints. Not five likes. Five real comments, spread out over ten days to two weeks, that showed some actual thought and effort. If you've hit five and heard nothing back, stop pouring energy in that direction.
This doesn't mean moving them to Not a Fit. It means moving them to Nurture. There's an important difference. Not a Fit is for people you've decided you don't want to work with. Nurture is for people who just aren't ready right now. Maybe they were away. Maybe the timing was off. You can always revisit later. But for now, you redirect.
This filtering process is the same instinct you used when you went through those 80 comments and picked out 11 people. You're just applying it again one stage further down.
The Step Most People Rush Past (And It's a Big One)
Okay. So someone in your warming stage has just reacted to your comment for the first time. Your instinct is probably to jump straight into their DMs.
Don't.
Here's why this matters more than most people realise.
If you're not already Facebook friends with this person, any message you send them doesn't land in their main inbox. It goes into the Other Requests folder. And the Other Requests folder is where well-intentioned messages go to be completely ignored. Most people check it once a month if that. Some have never opened it in their lives.
So even if you've built genuine rapport over two weeks of thoughtful comments, even if your message is warm and personal and perfectly written, there is a very real chance it never gets seen.
The fix is simple but it's non-negotiable.
When someone gives you a signal that they're ready to move forward, your first move is to send them a friend request. Not a DM. A friend request.
When they accept it, that's your cue to actually send the message. Because now you're connected, and your message lands in their main inbox where they'll actually see it.
Add a note in your LMX extension when you send the friend request so you know the date and can track whether it's been accepted. That one small habit keeps everything organised as your list grows.
Why Rotating Templates Protects You From Facebook Jail
Once a friend request is accepted and someone moves into your In Conversation stage, it's time to send your opening message.
But you're not writing a fresh message for every single person. That would take forever and it would also put you at risk of being flagged by Facebook for repetitive messaging. The solution is rotating templates.
Go into the Templates section of the LeadMagicX extension and create three or four different opening messages. Different wording, different angles, different opening lines. The goal is variety so that Facebook's system doesn't flag you for sending identical messages at scale.
Not sure what to write? Let LMX AI do the heavy lifting.
Try a prompt like this: write me an introductory DM to send to a warm prospect I found in a network marketing Facebook group. I want it to be friendly, non-business related, and never spammy.
The AI will give you multiple options. Pick the ones that feel most like you, adjust them slightly so they sound natural in your voice, and save them as separate templates. The one thing every template must have in common is a question at the end. You want the other person to reply. A question gives them something to respond to and keeps the conversation moving forward naturally.
How to Send to Your Whole List Without Touching Each One Individually
Once your templates are saved, go into your Prospecting funnel and select everyone sitting in the In Conversation stage.
Click the send messages icon. Choose the templates you just created. Set the time gap between messages to at least ten minutes so they go out gradually rather than all at once. Facebook monitors sending behaviour, and a sudden burst of messages will get you flagged fast.
Hit start and let the system work through the list.
Every person gets one of your rotating templates, personalised where the merge tags allow it, spaced out so it looks natural. And you didn't write a single individual message.
Once they've been sent, drag those people across to your Presented stage. That way you know the first outreach has already happened and you won't accidentally send them another opening message tomorrow.

What to Actually Talk About Once They Reply
Here's the question that makes a lot of people freeze up.
Someone replied. Now what do you say?
The answer is to keep going with the conversation. Ask more questions. Show genuine curiosity about what they said. Let them talk. People who feel heard and understood are the same people who eventually say yes to things. You're not selling anything yet. You're still building the relationship one exchange at a time.
And if you genuinely don't know what to send back? Copy their message and take it into LMX AI. Ask it what you should say next given your avatar and your goals. The AI knows who you're talking to. It can help you keep the conversation flowing without it feeling forced or scripted.
As for when you introduce your opportunity? There's no fixed rule. Some conversations get there in a few days. Others take a few weeks. What you're listening for is the moment they reveal something you can actually help with. A frustration with their current situation. A goal they're struggling to reach. A question that opens a door. When that moment comes, you'll feel it. And that's when it's the right time to share what you do.
The Only Way This System Breaks Down
This entire process only works with one thing.
Consistency.
Not intensity. You don't need to be spending hours on this every day. Even one or two new people added to Captured each day is enough to keep a steady stream of conversations building in the background.
Go into a group. Find a post with good engagement. Add a couple of people. Spend ten minutes dropping comments on the folks in your warming stage. Move the ones who are ready into In Conversation. Send your templates. Then close the tab and get on with your day.
Do that five days a week and within a month you'll have more genuine conversations going than you've ever had before. Without a single cold DM. Without spamming strangers. Without feeling gross about how you're building.
That's the whole point of the system. Not to work harder. To work in a way that actually feels good and actually gets results.
Your Action Steps This Week
Go back into your warming list from two weeks ago and evaluate every person. Who has shown a signal? Who has stayed silent through five or more touchpoints?
Move the warm ones into In Conversation and send them a friend request today. Log the date in their notes.
Open the Templates section in the LMX extension and build three or four intro messages using the LMX AI prompt above. Make sure every one of them ends with a question.
Once friend requests start getting accepted, go back into the funnel, select everyone in In Conversation, and bulk send your opening messages with a ten-minute gap between each one.
Then move them to Presented and wait for the replies to come in.
The machine is built. Now it just needs feeding.

FAQ: Moving Warm Prospects Into Real Conversations
How do I know a warm prospect is ready to move forward?
Look for a small but meaningful signal: they reacted to a thoughtful comment, replied, or engaged with your profile. You do not need a huge signal; you need evidence that the relationship is becoming reciprocal.
Should I send a DM as soon as someone reacts?
Not necessarily. If you are not already connected on Facebook, send a friend request first. After they accept, your opening message is more likely to land where they will see it.
How many templates should I create?
Start with three or four friendly opening templates. Give each one a slightly different angle, personalize it to the relationship, and end with a question that makes it easy to reply.
What should happen after I send the opening message?
Track the outreach, move the contact to Presented when appropriate, and let their reply guide the next exchange. Focus on curiosity and relevance instead of forcing the opportunity too early.
